Brenda and I first met Dee at a wedding fair in London. The three of us hit it off immediately. Dee is such an engaging person and it wasn't long before we popped the question to her - “would you be able to do our wedding in Ramsgate?”

Being a mature, curvy, second time around bride myself….
Hi I’m Dee and I remember stressing over the time I had before the wedding to lose weight. I spent a load of money on a personal trainer and worked out every waking hour. I was worried that as it was my second time getting married, what people might think……and at my age!
Then I came to my senses. I thought “What am I doing?” I was so focussed on the actual day that I was missing the fun of actually planning my wedding; I was missing out on memories that were already in the making. So I turned my attention to enjoying planning our wedding. I found a dress online - yes I decided I wanted a proper wedding dress - and got it made for me by a local dress maker. It was made just for me, so the size of it didn’t matter. I’ve no idea what size it was. It could have been a size 14, 16 or it could have been a size 20. Who knows?!
All I know is that I enjoyed planning our beautiful wedding and on the day, it was just amazing. I felt the best ever and hubby loved the way I looked.
Getting married for the second time, at 45 years old and with my curvy figure didn’t make it any less special. Best day ever!
I was inspired all those years ago by my own wedding, and I always want to give the best I can to the brides I photograph.
When you feel great you look great!
I remember when I finally got into my dress at the final fitting, the heavens opened up and shone down on me. I came alive and I couldn’t wait for my partner to see me in the dress on the day. I felt absolutely gorgeous!
As a wedding photographer, I absolutely want the brides I photograph to experience that heart-pounding-princess feeling that I had. And I will capture that in the wedding photography.
